Krayzie Bone talks about working with Kevin

Full interview at hiphopdx.com

...

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have sold over 12 million albums, won a Grammy and two American Music Awards, but the Cleveland quintet’s most jaw-dropping career feat may have been landing a mention on celebrity news site TMZ last month for their recent work with backup dancer turned Britney baby daddy turned rapper Mr. Federline. The question on the minds of every Bone fan in the weeks since that news broke has been why did the legendary harmonizing street thugs sign a pop princess’ former flame to the group’s independent BTNH Worldwide label?

“I didn’t even know that my people was actually talking to him at first,” Krayzie revealed to DX, “because I had no idea about it until I started seeing it in the tabloids and on the different websites…I really didn’t even like know who he was at first. K-Fed, I didn’t know that name until somebody told me that’s Britney Spears’ ex-husband…After then I was like, ‘Oh nah, we not messing with him.’ But then after I spoke to my people, they told me that they had conversations with him and that he was possibly looking for like some writers, and you know, like some production and stuff like that. So I was like, ‘That’s what I do. [But] I wanna hear some of his music first and foremost.’”

“People gon’ say I’m crazy, man,” he continued, “but to my surprise the stuff that he let me hear, it was pretty decent. He told me that he didn’t get a chance to really put out the music he wanted to [with his first album], and he made mistakes in putting out the music that he did – you know, by putting out the club stuff. I really didn’t hear none of his old music, but the stuff that he let me hear was like really deep. He was talking about his life. He was actually telling his side of the story [of the split with Britney] in a more mature, adult kind of way, opposed to just being on the record saying ‘Fuck Britney.’”

When Federline returns from being on the road with Ms. Spears, who is currently touring, Krayzie will hit the studio with his newest signee to craft K-Fed’s first Bone-backed project – much to the dismay of longtime group loyalists.

“If everybody is wondering what we’re doing,” said Krayzie, addressing Bone nation,“we’re simply helping him with the production, and just trying to give him a platform to stand on so people will listen to his story. After hearing him talk, and just kickin’ it with him, [I learned that] he definitely got a story to tell – where he came from, and where he ended up.”

Kevin Federline Celebrates Birthday - March 19

Taking a break from keeping an eye on sons Sean Preston and Jayden James as they travel the country on Britney Spears’ ‘Circus’ tour, Kevin Federline celebrated his 31st birthday at M2 on in New York City last night (March 19).

While his ex-wife was busy entertaining Toronto fans up north, K-Fed joined lady love Victoria Prince for a late night bash at the popular Big Apple hotspot.

Also attending the festivities were a slew of OK! magazine editors, a few America’s Next Top Model contestants and more publicists than you can shake a press release at.

The group of friends and associates spent the evening rubbing elbows, dancing and downing whisky and tequila shots.

Pictures include ANTM model's Whitney Cunningham and Jaslene Gonzalez, OK! magazine senior reporter Laura Lane, celebrity publicist Denrick Romain, and VH1's For the Love of Ray J. contestant Jerri Vega. Click image for full size.

Kevin's Mar. 18 Birthday Celebration - More Info

K-Fed chowed down at an early birthday dinner at Brother Jimmy’s in Murray Hill Wednesday night, with his new girlfriend, Victoria Price, his dad Mike, pal DJ Reach and ... (ready for this?) Taye Diggs and Kourtney Kardashian. Yes, our mouths dropped open, too.

The motley crew noshed on hot wings, PatrĂ³n shots and fishbowls of Swamp Water. The latter is a mixture of alcohol and juices that is served in a fishbowl with many straws.

The clan then headed over to eco-friendly club Greenhouse to catch Reach on the turntables. There, Federline the aspiring rapper (is that label still applicable?) and Price were “dancing very provocatively.

They were kissing and touching each other excessively,” our spy shared.

K-Fed and his posse downed whisky and tequila shots, and his pops stuck to beer.

Krayzie Bone interviewed about Kevin Federline

DJ Booth: Okay, good. The last reader question comes from Teresa of Atlanta, Georgia, and she wrote, “Krayzie, how much money did it take to get Bone Thugs in the studio with Kevin Federline?”

Krayzie: [laughs] Man, it’s all good… first of all, I heard his music, and I really think he can be worked with, I really think he has something to say to the people, obviously, with all the stuff he’s been through. It ain’t even all about the money; I’m gonna do what I do. I ain’t no greedy person—I do music because I love it.

DJ Booth: But you’re saying that you guys felt that there was some talent level that he possessed, in order to at least discuss the possibility of collaboration?

Krayzie: Exactly.

Kevin Federline celebrates birthday w/ Victoria

Kevin Federline celebrated his 31st birthday with girlfriend Victoria Prince yesterday, squashing rumours that he and Britney Spears are rekindling their love.

The pair headed out hand-in-hand for a night of partying at Manhattan hotspot Club Greenhouse with friends, including Kim Kardashian and her new beau Brandon Trentham.

It looks like Britney and Kevin - who are looking after their sons together during Britney's Circus tour - are still very much not an item.

Star magazine reports that the aspiring rapper has been showering Britney with attention and affection.

Kevin Federline turns 31 on Saturday.

Kevin Federline's Girlfriend: "I Don't Feel Threatened By Britney"

It takes a strong woman to hold down the fort while her boyfriend is across the country hanging out with his ex-wife and their kids -- especially if that ex-wife is Britney Spears. But Kevin Federline's girlfriend Victoria Prince barely bats an eye about him traveling for at least the first leg of Spears' Circus tour.

"Sure, it's hard being apart but I don't feel threatened by Britney," Prince told RadarOnline.com exclusively. "I'm a confident woman too!"

The six-foot blonde stunner, who shares a birthday with Spears, graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2006. A volleyball player, she competed against living legends Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh in an AVP match in Hermosa Beach, California in 2007.

"Sure, it's hard being apart but I don't feel threatened by Britney.""I think it's great that Kevin and Britney are working together for their sons," she said. While Federline watches over Preston and Jayden as Spears performs from city to city, Prince remains at his Tarzana home and is staying mum about whether she will eventually join him on tour.

"Everything is good between us and everybody is trying to make the best of the situation," Prince added with a smile. "At the end of the day, the boys' needs are being met with this arrangement."

While the media circus she suddenly finds herself in can be "difficult" to deal with at times, the Washington native seems to be committed to staying true to who she is: "I just try and stay as normal as I can."

Britney Spears: The Show Is Fine For Her Kids

Risque? Hardly.

Britney Spears is such a firm believer that her Circus show is kid-friendly that she is publicly denying reports that her own kids have been ban led by ex-Kevin Federline from attending.

Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2, will watch Mommy at work during the whole tour, her management insists.

"Contrary to rumors linked to false articles," a late-night statement posted on Britney's website reads. "Britney Spears' sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, will be joining her on the entire Circus tour and will be attending shows as planned,"

"Britney's family is a huge inspiration and she loves having them on the road with her."

The Daily Mirror in the U.K. reported that Federline had banned the kids after the dress rehearsals because, the article said, "they were too young for the raunchier parts."

Most media reports had the young boys at their mother's debut concert on Wednesday night. People.com reported that the boys were backstage because "it was too loud" to watch from out front.

Britney Spears's Cheering Section Includes Family and Kevin Federline

Britney Spears's comeback tour is getting rave reviews from those closest to the singer.

"Britney's whole family was there, her parents, [sister] Jamie Lynn, [brother] Bryan, his wife, her cousins [including] Laura Lynn [Covington], friends from Kentwood – everyone thought it was a fantastic show and she just nailed it," says a source close to Spears, referring to her kickoff concert Tuesday at the New Orleans Arena, the first stop on her 36-show tour.

Adds the source: "They all thought Britney was so amazing – her energy, her spirit."

Also in attendance: the singer's sons Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, and their dad Kevin Federline. "He was there to support her as well," says the source, adding that the boys stayed backstage because "it's just too loud for them to watch."

The Cirque du Soleil-style show, which also got the thumbs-up from fans, marks the pop star's first tour in five years. New Orleans was the first stop for Spears, 27, who hits Atlanta on Thursday, followed by 10 shows on the East Coast.

"The show was completely sold out and it was just incredible," says the source. "Britney was just really happy."

Kevin Federline bans kids from seeing Britney perform her risque live show

Kevin Federline has barred the couple's two children from watching Britney's Circus show.

After seeing her in action during rehearsals, K-Fed, 30, decided Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two, were a little too young for the raunchier parts.

So instead Britney, 27, treated her sons to a kiddie-friendly run-through of her 90-minute show at the New Orleans Arena.

The trio had a tearful goodbye as the boys were collected afterwards - and returned to K-Fed.

A source said: "It was great for Brit to have the children around.

"There is so much riding on the tour that she had worked herself up and her nerves were getting to her.

"Seeing the boys before her big night helped to relax her. She let them see most of her numbers in rehearsals, but the really sexy ones she left until the late-night run throughs when they had gone home."
