Odds and ends of Kevin/Britney custody news

There's been a few pieces of news related to the custody battle between Kevin and Britney which I thought I'd mention without going into too much detail. Tony Barretto and Gloria Allred continue to make their rounds, including an appearance on Dr. Phil and an interview with On The Record. Tony also requested that DCFS open a new investigation against Britney in a 2 hour meeting with DCFS officials.

PETA says Kevin should have Britney's dogs too, in an open letter to Kevin Federline.

Britney's first scheduled visit with the children did not go well, in fact did not happen at all. Apparently Britney originally wanted to meet the kids in a hotel, then checked out a 2 AM to go to her home, but never answered the buzzer when 10 AM when Kevin's bodyguard arrived at 10 AM Thursday with the kids. They headed back to Kevin's after waiting 40 minutes. Some reports (excuses?) include a faulty buzzer and the wrong house. The visit was rescheduled for the next day. There has been some compliance by Britney, she now has her California driver's license, and X17 is reporting she passed two drug tests on Friday and Saturday.

In good Britney news, she has reunited with her mother Lynne Spears and has been spending time with both Lynne and her sister Jamie Lynn. There has been one tabloid which has reported that Kevin was part of the intervention as well, although I haven't seen it reported elsewhere.

There also has been a rumor of an interview of both Kevin and Britney with Martin Bashir.
