What's going on with custody and a few thoughts

Lots of people are trying to figure out if there are any changes as a result of everything that happened yesterday. Something concrete that came out of it is that in the future, elements like "child custody and visitation issues," will be blacked out of court documents, something that was requested by both Kevin and Britney's attorneys. Personally I'm happy to hear it, I don't think it's necessary for the world to know every detail of what is going on. I suspect we will still have an idea though. The attorneys are always bombarded with questions, which they may or may not answer. As well, I suspect if Britney has the kids with her she will make sure the public is aware of it, and when Lynne is with the kids at Kevin's she seems to do the same.

Usmagazine.com is reporting that the joint 50-50 custody arrangement has not changed. This was reported to The Insider by attorney Mel Goldsman, who works with Marci Levine, one of Britney's new attorneys. Laura Wasser also told People yesterday that the 50-50 arrangement stands, and claimed Tony Barretto isn't a credible witness. Fox News is reporting today that "sources tell me that Spears is just a breath away from Commissioner Scott Gordon ruling that her children will be placed in the custody of ex-husband Kevin Federline." Perez Hilton said something about sources close to the situation telling him Kevin Federline and his lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, are “extremely grateful for the results of the court proceedings”. Gloria Allred was on the Today Show this morning, she said she could not reveal the results since documents are sealed. She claims Judge Hatchett was not concerned about the nudity, but was concerned about the drug use issues.

I think one thing we have to remember is that these are lawyers, they're paid to present their client in the best possible light. That's why when Laura is asked, Britney's doing well, and when Mark is asked, Kevin is "great". The tabloids and news have their own motivations for reporting things in the way they do, basically to report the most interesting story possible and provide new information so hopefully everyone will flock to them. The real story is probably made up of bits and pieces here and there along with some things that are not reported at all. So for myself, I'll just keep watching without jumping to any sudden conclusions, and I think over time we should get a general idea of what is really happening.

Hopefully, there are lots of happier stories to report about as well - I much prefer it when I'm posting things like Kevin's next "One Tree Hill" episode.

It's still 50/50. Sorry to bust you K-Fraud fanatics bubble, but Kevin does NOT have temperary primary custody of the kids. Realize that Brit has TWO people representing her. They are NOT going to let Kevin get off that easily. The next hearing is not until November.

Good luck, Brit!

Seriously K. Fed should have been dead a long time ago.

^Yeah Kevin doesn't do drugs,lol.

^Duh, he just wasn't out there acting all crazy. He probably kept a low profile doing his shit. You don't stop smoking weed and doing X with the snap of your fingers.

Why is Kevin being tested? Why does he needs classes? HE's been doing well imo.

Because KFraud used to brag about doing drugs... or are you too senile to remember his "pancake man" mantra?

Exactly. K-Douche fans are complete morons if they actually don't think Kevin needs parenting classes. Surely, the jerk off does. Are we forgetting that Britney is the ONE who filed for primary custody when she signed the divorce papers??? I love how his "fans" continue to think he's a saint who has done zero wrong. No. Kevin was NOT the one boozing it up countless of nights with Paris Hilton. Whilst flashing his penis two nights in a roll, shaving his head bald in public, ending up in rehab, and abusing controlled substances. But he has done his share of dirt as well.

Well the judge would know best, he's got the evidence, and he decided only Britney needed the parenting classes, and only Britney needed to be tested twice a week. I certainly didn't make that decision.

I'm aware of what Kevin said on his album. I'm also aware that back when Kevin was a teenager in Fresno he supported himself in not so legal way. Shar says she's known him to "smoke a little weed" but never do hard drugs. Kevin was going for an image for his album, and it's not completely fabricated, I don't expect him to become a priest.

However, there's a big difference between what Britney does and what Kevin does. He is not out of control and he is not doing stupid things. And he IS taking good care of the kids.

So just deal with the judges ruling, getting mad at Kevin fans isn't going to change anything.

Are you 'slow', or what? Kevin DOES have to take parenting classes. The only thing he DOESN'T have to do is drug testing. The only reason why Brit has to undergo drug testing is, because evidence has shown that she is a controlled substance abuser. We don't know what substance of drugs she was abusing. There are a lot of them. It's not always coke, meth, or heroin. The judge is willing to give her a second chance ONLY if she undergo these tests. You K-Fraud "fans" need to stop acting as if Britney is in a total loss when in fact she isn't. As long as she stays clean, she can continue to fight for the kids, and possibly win. Her lawyers aren't going to let Kevin, and his people get off so easily anyway.

Who said Britney was a total loss? It's not like I'm hoping she turns up dead tomorrow.

Kevin and Britney are both taking "Parenting Without Conflict", and they are in joint-parenting counseling. I was referring to the fact that only Britney is required to meet a parenting coach for a minimum of 8 hours a week. She's also the only one required to attend individual counseling at least once a week to address parenting issues.

But I think you know this, I doubt you're a dumb as you seem. Maybe just mad.

I'm certainly not dumb, and definitely not mad. It's just that you K-Fraud 'fanatics' are trying to make it seem as if Britney is in a total loss. Idk. Maybe you( in general) brains are leaking, and you don't realize that the judge is willing to give Britney a second chance as long as she follow his rules.

The reason why the same rules doesn't apply to Kevin is, because he's not the one who was acting a complete fool. Thus, being busted for controlled substance abuse.

There may be some Kevin fans who are writing Britney off, but most aren't from what I've seen. If anything it's the Britney fans who wrote Kevin off a long time ago and refuse to reconsider no matter what happens.

No insults are necessary. If Britney can clean up her act it would be a good thing for everyone, especially the kids. I'm not against that.

One thing remains obvious, so let's not sugar-coat it: The judge is not impressed with either of these two as parents.

Exactly. But of course since Britney was the main one acting a fool, and evidence has shown that she's a controlled substance abuse addict, it's more than obvious that she's under more heat. As a Britney fan, I have acknowledged that Kevin seems to be the more responsible one. And I am one of those people who used to be highly biased against him. That was only, because I thought he was after Brit's money. I do still in away. I just hope the jerk is doing this for the sake of the children, and not, because of Brit's bank account. Even though he will be getting some serious $$$ if he wins primary custody.

Knock yourself out, Alison. You just keep fingering your fat self in that trailer, telling these fools that K Fed isn't a lazy evil bum.
