Britney's former manager still dodging subpoena

Britney Spears's Ex-Manager Dodges Custody Fight Subpoena

As an unscheduled hearing behind closed doors took place Monday morning in the custody battle between exes Kevin Federline and Britney Spears, her former manager, Larry Rudolph, got word out that he wants no part of their legal battle – for fear of what he possibly might have to reveal about Spears.

"He said he's doing his best to hide from Kevin's process server," Ryan Seacrest, who was in contact with Rudolph over the weekend, said Monday on his KIIS-FM radio show. "He's actually on the run. They are trying to track him down and serve him with a subpoena and they want him to appear and testify in the custody battle."

Rudolph, who was relieved of his managerial duties by Spears earlier this year, "doesn't want to be served because he said it won't be good for Britney," said Seacrest. "After all they have been through he is still loyal to her, and he doesn't want to have to go under oath and talk about certain things that might hurt her."

The battle for custody of Spears's two children began on Aug. 8, when Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan filed papers requesting primary physical custody of Sean Preston, 23 months, and Jayden James, 11 months. Among those served to testify so far by Federline attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan are Promises Treatment Center, Spears's former assistant Shannon Funk, bodyguard Daimon Shippen and pal Alli Sims.

Regarding his whereabouts, Rudolph would only reveal is that he is with his children. Furthermore, said Seacrest, the former manager wants it publicly known that he is avoiding being served the subpoena.

"There is obviously a reason why he wants [that information] out there," said Seacrest. "Here is a guy who was with her from the beginning, watched her rise to massive success, was her dear friend and confidante, then was fired and now doesn't want to have to speak in court, because he wants to be loyal to her. There's another chapter to this."

Oy, such drama over these subpoenas. It doesn't have to be this way, just go to court and answer the questions and be done with it. At the end of the day it's about deciding what is best for Sean and Jayden, why are some of these people resisting so hard?

I find Larry's statement kind of tacky actually. Why is it so important to him that the public knows he's hiding? Does he think Britney will hire him back? Does he want to be remembered as being loyal to Britney to help his career? Is he trying to encourage other people to hide?

This isn't about him, just go, do what needs to be done and leave it alone.

Larry Should be ashame of himself, this doesn't help Britney and it surely doesn't help Sean and Jayden if there's a possible her behavior can affect them somehow, if Britney needs help he should help her to get it, she may get pissed off now but in the end it will all work out for the best to everyone involved.

There're 2 very young innocence life involved here, and instead of doing what you can to make sure things get taken care of you're refusing, SHAME ON YOU, LARRY.

I hope Mr. Kaplan has all these interveiw that you're doing on file and let the jugde know about it, you so think you're helping Britney, think again, cause you were a big part of her going to rehab, don't you think the judge is going to wonder what you're hiding, why you're trying so hard not to reveal information that could be relevant to the case and the children.

Kelly you are one stupid cunt. Kevin is doing far more damage to these kids by dragging their mother's name through the mud.

How is Kevin dragging her name through the mud, Kevin has not made any comment regarding Britney, but Britney as find it necessary to make stupid ass comment about Kevin through x17 on more than one occassion, all the documents that Kevin's lawyer filed in court are sealed, so how is it he's dragging her name through the mud.

Poster 5:42pm - you are wrong. Britney is the only one damaging her career, her reputation and most importantly, her children's well being. Don't blame Kevin for any of her short comings. It's easy to point fingers but Kevin has not said anything damaging about Britney so please explain how he is to blame if Britney's name is in the mud. She wallows in it all on her own. And calling posters on this blog names is just pure and simple ignorance on your part.

If you have an opinion, state, leave it for the rest to read or not, but stop with the name calling.
