And the blackmailing rumors continue...

First they said he was blackmailing her with a sex tape, right around the time she lost the case suing US Weekly for claiming there was one. Then it was a tell-all book, right around the time Jason said he was writing a tell-all book. Now it's just "$50 Million or The Babies!"

What boggles my mind is how many people believe it, even people who have been following celebrities for years and should know better. Britney offering Kevin $10 million, and Kevin asking for $50 million would both be illegal activities that would hurt their cases, and I really can't see it. I have no problem believing Life & Style would make it up however. Thankfully, it seems the truth is much less dramatic, and I hope they continue to be able to work out arrangements for the kids beyond January.

Yeah, I hope too that they can get all the custody thing resolve, the tabliod media is just trying to make everything seem nasty, to be honest I don't see that going on in this whole thing and I believe also as long as they continue to work together everything can get resolve without much drama, I see a start with the January agreement, hopeful a more permanent one can be reached soon.

Why even post this and give Life & Style exposure?

^Exactly! You are just adding fuel to the fire and letting them know, in a sense, that the more drama they create, the more it will be "eaten up"! If you want the tabliodish stuff to stop...Don't pay attention to it!

You guys have a point - I do try to ignore the tabloid stuff a lot of the time, but sometimes it gets to me when I see it posted in other places and then other people responding as if it's true.

It's part of their own fault. Kevin has put out an image that this isn't that far from the truth. Nobody thinks he actually gives a shit about his kids from his past actions. Britney is dealing with the "party every night" thing even though she's just NOT partying every night. Both of them have too much bad press. I don't like Kevin, but I wish they would give a mutual statement for the sake of the kids.

^They shouldn't have to give a statement! It is unfortunate that this is seemingly a living breathing thing for the tabliods, but if they give one statement, it would be inevitable to think they would then have to give a statement each time

They shouldn't deny everything or even give specifics. They shouldn't have to, but they could just simply say tabloid reports are untrue and they are working hard together to make everything peaceful for the sake of all the children involved (even Shar's older kids).

Since there has been zero sign on unity and working together between Kevin and Britney the tabs are running wild. Even the custody thing was spun in a negative light by BOTH sides, Kevin and Britney supporters and the media.

I just read the magazine. Since the the split, has Jayden and Sean ever spent the night with Kevin? I haven't heard any reports that they have. That was a read flag for me. It said britney was emotional when she had to hand over them for the night of jan 3. of this year.

^No, the kids are not allowed to be taken out of Britney's house

^Well the mag is full of it then. Cause it said she let them stay overnight. Here's the link http://britney.cl/album/categories.php?cat_id=403

For now Britney has requested that Kevin's time with the kids be at her house and for January he has agreed.

Kevin's attorney did respond to the rumors once, but I agree they shouldn't have to respond every time - it would probably only create more rumors anyway. Here's what his attorney said shortly after the filing of divorce:

"There is not a sex video of Kevin and Britney in existence," Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, says.

"It goes without saying that the stories of Kevin attempting to sell such a video are patently false and anyone who reports that they have information of such attempts is either lying or reporting the lie of someone else."

"It would be impossible to comment upon and correct all of the other misinformation about Kevin that appears on a daily basis and consequently no attempt has been made, or will be made, to do so. I hope that the public and media will keep this in mind before assuming accuracy of facts from Kevin's silence."
